Kala Swenson

As a dedicated Family Law Associate Attorney, Kala brings a compassionate and client-focused approach to the practice of law. With a commitment to helping individuals navigate the complexities of family legal matters, Kala strives to provide effective and personalized solutions tailored to the unique needs of each client. Understanding the emotional and financial challenges associated with family law issues, Kala approaches each case with empathy and a commitment to finding solutions that promote the well-being of all involved parties.  She takes the time to listen to her clients, ensuring that their concerns are heard and addressed throughout the legal process.

Prior to joining CBSH, Kala was a law clerk in Hennepin County Family Court to Referee Jason Hutchison. There, she gained valuable knowledge and experience in family law cases, including divorce, child custody, spousal maintenance, and domestic violence matters.

Kala is dedicated to giving back to the community and actively participates pro bono in various organizations. She is currently on the board of Project Pathfinder, Inc. and the New Lawyer’s Section of the Minnesota Bar Association. Kala has also volunteered with the Women’s Resource Center, Stop Child Abuse Now, and Southern Valley Alliance - all dedicated to helping children and victims of domestic violence.
