Experience
Rick Stebbins was admitted to the Minnesota bar in 1993. His practice has been primarily in the areas of family law, alternative dispute resolution and criminal defense. Rick has represented clients regarding all aspects of family law including divorce, custody, adoption, child support, parenting time, relocation and spousal maintenance. He has successfully represented clients in both district and appeallate courts. He has been voted a "Superlawyer" by Minnesota Law and Politics and has recently been selected by 2010 Best Lawyers in America in the specialty of family law.
Since 2005, Rick has been a qualified neutral mediator under the Minnesota Rules of Court, assisting parties to settle their cases without extensive litigation. In addition, he has been trained as an Early Neutral Evaluator in financial and custody issues, and is frequently appointed by the district courts of Ramsey, Hennepin and Anoka counties to provide early case evaluations.

Professional Associations & Memberships
Rick is a member of the Ramsey, Minnesota and American Bar Associations. He is active in the Ramsey County Bar Association, serving on several committees which provide education and service to the community. He is a past chair of the Family Law Section, Youth & Law Committee, and CLE Oversight Committee. Rick is the current Secretary/Treasurer on the Ramsey County Bar Association Board of Directors.
Community Involvement and Pro Bono
Rick Stebbins has worked as a volunteer in legal aid offices in the Twin Cities area for over ten years, including Volunteer Lawyers Network, Ramsey County Pro Se Litigant Program, and the Washington and Dakota County Volunteer Attorney Panels. He has been a past coach of the University of St. Thomas Mock Trial program and a regular judge of the Minnesota High School Mock Trial Tournament for 16 years. He regularly speaks at Ramsey County school history and civics classes regarding legal issues, he has been a "book buddy" at Franklin Elementary for the past four years, and he has worked with local youth through the St. Paul Optimists Club.
