Mr. Gehan practices in the areas of civil and criminal litigation, appeals and public sector labor law.

As an Assistant Ramsey County Attorney from 1971 to 1976, Mr. Gehan handled felony prosecutions and real estate condemnation matters. He was the Metropolitan Area District Prosecutor in 1976 and 1977. He joined Collins, Buckley, Sauntry & Haugh in 1978.

Mr. Gehan is active in local and state bar activities. He served as President of the Ramsey County Bar Association in 1990-1991 and as President of the Minnesota State Bar Association in 1998-1999.

From 1986 - 1994 Mr. Gehan served on the St. Paul Charter Commission and was the President of that body from 1988-1994.

Representative clients include; St. Paul Chapter of the American Red Cross; St. Paul Police Federation; St. Paul Firefighters, Local 21. In 1997 and 1998, Mr. Gehan was appointed to serve as special master in the Minnesota tobacco litigation.
