Personal Injury Services

Collins, Buckley, Sauntry & Haugh, P.L.L.P. since its inception, has had a substantial and successful personal injury practice which is consistent and compatible with our representation of selected insurance companies.

We have consistently pursued the rights of injured parties to the fullest extent giving our clients vigorous, diligent and zealous representation within the bounds of the law.

In our personal injury practice we have dealt with catastrophic injuries relating to burns, paralysis and brain injuries. If you need legal assistance as a result of an auto accident, liquor liability, negligence and premises liability, products liability, wrongful death, as well as workers’ compensation, we are capable of serving as your legal counsel. The firm has the experience, expertise and resources to pursue and enforce the rights of injured persons, while still being able to give them the personal attention and answers they deserve during the process.

We are not intimidated by large corporations, larger law firms or government entities. Many of our lawyers are longstanding members of the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association dedicated to the advancement of justice to the injured and the protection of the rights of the individual. Several lawyers are also members of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and have access to resources from other members as well as cooperative and centralized sources.

On meritorious claims, we are able to undertake representation on a contingency basis. If there is no recovery, the client pays no attorney’s fee. Our balanced practice in the areas of insurance defense and other commercial and employment matters allows us to restrict our intake of cases to meritorious claims only. Once undertaken, a case is pursued as long as warranted to attempt the highest possible recovery. The firm has had great success in obtaining substantial awards of compensation for persons who have sustained injuries, by settlement or by verdict, in several cases over the $1 million dollar mark. In addition, we have done considerable appellate work.

The firm has had substantial experience and success in obtaining large compensation awards for victims of traumatic brain injuries. Several of our previous and current clients are members of the Minnesota Head Injury Association, which supplies information and support to its members. Some of our attorneys are active members of the Minnesota Head Injury Association and are sensitized to the subtle but sever effects of traumatic brain injury. We work together with injured victims and their families in obtaining compensation and assist in dealing with traumatic brain injuries in a manner which provides for the severely injured person’s ongoing needs.

Collins, Buckley, Sauntry & Haugh also has a substantial workers’ compensation practice where we represent injured employees in claims against their employers and insurers. Many of these claims have resulted in separate actions for injuries caused by the negligence of parties other than the employer, including product manufacturers, premises owners, motor vehicle drivers, and employees of other companies and their employers.

While some firms limit their practice to representing victims of personal injury, our firm's varied experience and expertise allows us to draw upon other resources that may be relevant or important to the injured person’s claim. In addition to personal injury claims, we can handle most of your other legal needs under separate agreement.
